Privacy Policy

The short version: this site has no forms, no accounts, no ads and no tracking. I only learn who you are if you choose to contact me.

Who I am

This site is the personal portfolio of Troy Lawrence, a UX and product designer in Plano, Texas. In this policy, “I” and “me” mean Troy Lawrence, and “the site” means portfolio.troylawrence.com.

Information you choose to send me

If you email or call me, I receive whatever you include, such as your name, email address, phone number and message. I use it only to reply to you and to keep a record of our conversation. I don’t sell it, rent it or add you to a mailing list.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, the site relies on a few services that receive basic technical information when your browser loads a page:

• Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify, whose servers may log your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and when you requested them. These logs are used to deliver and secure the site. See Netlify’s privacy policy.
• Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser information when a page loads. See Google’s privacy policy.

The site itself doesn’t add analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Prototypes and games

Some research prototypes and games on this site save your settings or progress in your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device and is never sent to me. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Links to other sites

The site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and former employers. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and I’m not responsible for them.

Children

The site isn’t directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, contact me and I’ll delete it.

Your choices

You can ask me what information I have from our correspondence, or ask me to delete it, by emailing troyscottlawrence@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
